Preparing for a Return to Travel

Hello. My name is Tom Bremner and I head up Zettabyte 175’s payment processing division. Over more than a decade in the credit card processing business I’ve been privileged to work with a number of travel industry members. I’ve found them to be shrewd and reliable clients.

Since the onset of COVID all major credit card processors have tightened terms and put significant loss-prevention strategies in place for travel businesses. I won’t pretend that my clients haven’t been affected. It’s important that processors practice effective risk management, but some of them have gone a little overboard. Measures like large fund reserves and daily fee withdrawals (as opposed to more easily reconciled monthly withdrawals) are by no means ubiquitous. These terms don’t have to be quietly accepted.

I believe that now is the time to begin preparing for when travel restrictions begin to ease. Not later, when the world re-opens and everyone comes running. It certainly doesn’t feel like it now, but time is running short. There’s so much to do.

I’m sure that you have skilled teams handling your eCommerce experience and credit card processing, brand management, digital marketing, mobile marketing, online security and the like. What makes Zettabyte 175 special is that we integrate all of these services into a single strategic plan. It’s so crucial that everyone pull in the same direction that we structured our business to incentivize collaboration, not competition.

From that spirit of cooperation, we have assembled a Care Package of thoughtfully selected equipment and services. These will be provided at no cost for the duration of the freeze. Our package is designed with one goal in mind: To place agents and wholesalers in optimal positions for the sustained rush of activity that’s sure to come.
