To put this number into context let’s look at two of the world’s largest markets. For foreign exchange London is a monster, routinely handling 2 to 3 times the FX volume of other major exchanges. Its market cap is currently listed by Reuters at $42.79B.
For derivatives trading the Chicago Mercantile Exchange is the world’s largest. Its market cap, as of this moment, sits at $73.43B.
