Looks like we’re in for record breaking gift card sales to close out the year. A recent survey of 11,000 consumers came back showing that Canadians plan on allocating 37% of their holiday budgets for gift-cards.
Why the surge? Respondents site concerns about slow product deliveries and worldwide inventory issues.
Credit card processors are major gift card issuers for small and medium businesses and late November is typically the latest that they can fulfill Christmas orders.
