13 Apr Retail Sales Recovering
Looks like retail sales have started to recover. MasterCard has year over year (YOY) US retail spending up 26.3% in March. But that’s not to say that shopper behaviour has returned to pre-pandemic patterns.
A whole lot of formerly in-person purchasing has remained online. StatsCan shows that Canadian online spending in January was up 110.7% YOY. This shift shows every indication of being a durable one.
