30 May The Evolution of Digital Wallets
Google is leading the way in the evolution of digital wallets and that evolution is all about the mimicry of physical wallets. Consumer surveys have consistently shown that a huge adoption surge is coming for any wallet that goes beyond payment card-only capabilities.
In order to deliver on this promise, Google has just announced a plethora of public and private partnerships stretching across 40 countries that will allow users to store digital Driver’s Licenses, ID, event tickets, hotel/office keycards and a whole lot more.
Once these upgrades make it to Canada, I may hang onto my faithful old leather wallet, but it’ll be purely for nostalgic reasons. #digitalwallets #googlewallet #wallets
